Full Job Description

The Recruiter is a key role responsible for full life-cycle recruiting, including sourcing potential candidates, screening and recommending placement of staff through creative sourcing methods including social media and reaching out to prospects via email or phone. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills to interact with candidates and internal teams as well as extensive knowledge of and federal and state laws regarding employment practices. In addition to demonstrating considerable skill in interviewing techniques, this position will attain sound Staley knowledge, including types of work, specialized functions, benefits, expectations related to service technicians and organizational structure to assist in the accurate communication and successful recruitment of personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with hiring manager to determine staffing needs and best recruiting process for position(s).
  • Processes job requisitions.
  • Acts as liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies to communicate opportunities within Staley Technologies and interest in the company.
  • Serves as an expert for recruiting Low Voltage Data Technician, Sales, and administrative candidates.
  • Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for nonexempt position openings.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as internet searches, career fairs, online job fairs, employment offices, career site searches, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates to Staley Technologies.
  • Sends recruiting emails to passive candidates and following up when needed.
  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process. Updates systems accordingly.
  • Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
  • Communicates important employment information during delivery of employment offers (e.g., benefits and compensation,).
  • Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.
  • Delivers high-quality service to hiring managers and candidates by matching candidates’ skills with vacancies.
  • Performs a variety of administrative tasks that support the overall mission of quality performance and service in regard to the entire recruitment process.
  • Asks the appropriate questions when discussing staffing needs and approving requisitions.
  • Comprehends complex staffing needs.
  • Responds to and qualifies staffing needs efficiently.
  • Analyzes resumes accurately against job descriptions and requisitions.
  • Interviews candidates to evaluate their technical qualifications for current and future vacancies.
  • Troubleshoots to resolve problems
  • Builds professional relationships with hiring managers, candidates, temporary employees, contract employees and other support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources or an equivalent amount of experience and training.
  • Proven work experience as a Headhunter, Recruiter or similar
  • Advanced knowledge of sourcing techniques (including Boolean search)
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing tools (e.g. Three years of technical recruiting experience in fast-pace business environment; Information Systems industry preferred.
  • Previous recruiting experience locating and hiring entry-level to experienced low voltage Technicians, Sales, and administrative candidates.
  • Familiarity with HR databases and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Excellent communication and persuasion abilities (particularly when making cold calls and sending recruiting emails)
  • Time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple open roles simultaneously
  • Good decision-making skills
