Head of Internal Audit - Digital Bank

Full Job Description

My client is a reputable Digital Bank with strong presence in the business. They are seeking a Head of Internal Audit to lead and manage the internal audit function within their digital banking organization.

• Develop and implement risk-based internal audit plans for all digital banking operations and functions.
• Conduct comprehensive audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Evaluate and monitor digital banking processes and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead and mentor the internal audit team to achieve departmental objectives and professional growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure audit findings are addressed promptly and corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes impacting digital banking.
• Provide clear and concise audit reports to Board of Management and the Audit Committee.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in internal audit, with a proven track record in digital banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of digital banking operations, IT audit, technologies, and associated risks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex processes and identify control weaknesses.
• Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead, inspire and guide a team.
• Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to the digital banking sector.
