Plant Operator

Monitors and operates Carbon Black Production and/or Energy Center systems and related equipment at field. Performs all tasks in a safe manner and following plant safety policies and procedures. 

• Follows work instructions (WI) and Product Quality Control Plans (PQCP) for field activity.
• Adjusts controls to regulate variables as per instructions. Performs set up procedures to prepare systems for operation.
• Performs minor maintenance on process and support equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Keeps work area safe and clean.

• Minimum High School or equivalent with minimum work experience of 3 – 5 years in factory operations (technician or operator), preferably petrochemical industry and/or energy center
• Have a high level of compliance and awareness of work safety.
• Manual dexterity, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Have Basic Mechanical ability.
• Able to read and interpret operational instructions (SOP) supported by the ability to think logically.
• Have written and verbal communication skills (good articulation) and active listening skills.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Willing to work in shift work schedule and may be able to work on holidays.
• Have the ability to remain calm and provide an effective response in critical conditions.
• Have the ability to learn and high initiative.
• Having a class 1 boiler operator certificate is a plus.
