Title:

Process CAD Technician

KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Process CAD Technician to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Process CAD Technician will work with the Process Engineering team to create electronic design plans for the OLNG facility using computer software. This role will turn blueprints & technical drawings into 2D & 3D computer models while working with the support of the larger project team.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with engineers, draftsmen, & designers to review blueprints & design drawings
• Input design specifications into the CAD software
• Create surface & solid CAD models according to the project & client specifications
• Review the CAD models with the project team and make any required adjustments
• Conduct final model rendering
• Deliver final product
• Produce any required reports

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field
• 0 + years of experience as CAD Technician
• LNG facility design experience a plus
• Advanced knowledge of CAD & AutoCAD software
• Ability to read & translate blueprints & technical drawings
• Understanding of LNG design & mechanical processes

• Assist in creating and updating 2D and 3D CAD drawings based on project specifications and engineer's markups.
• Learn and utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to produce detailed technical drawings.
• Ensure drawings adhere to industry standards and company drafting conventions.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and design intent.
• Perform quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Organize and maintain drawing files and project documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of bill of materials (BOMs) derived from CAD models.
• Learn about different materials, manufacturing processes, and construction techniques.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Develop proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering techniques.

• A strong interest in drafting, engineering, or architecture.
• Basic familiarity with CAD software is a plus, but not required as training will be provided.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good spatial reasoning skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn new software quickly.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage digital files effectively.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to ask clarifying questions.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a related technical field is advantageous.
