: remote, comfortable to work between 09:00 and 13:00 (UTC +8). The working hours could be adjusted.
Role Overview:
As a Community Moderator, you will be responsible for cultivating a safe and vibrant space for meaningful language exchange. Your primary focus will be to ensure that interactions remain respectful, engaging, and in line with our Community Guidelines. A strong command of English and exceptional intercultural communication skills are essential for this role. Prior experience in customer support or content moderation is highly valued, and proficiency in multiple languages is a definite advantage, helping us cater to our diverse global community more effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review member reports in line with Tandem's Community Guidelines;
- Review new member applications;
- Respond promptly to members' questions and inquiries;
- Collaborate with the broader community team to swiftly resolve reported issues.
This role is pivotal to the smooth operation and growth of Tandem. You will report to the Community Manager and work closely with other community moderators.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in English. Strong command of other languages is a plus (with preference to Indonesian);
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Proactive problem solver with a keen interest in mobile apps and new software tools;
- Familiarity with content moderation and an understanding of the challenges associated with sensitive topics. Prior experience in customer support or content moderation is a plus;
- Owns a laptop or desktop computer with stable internet connection;
- Must be able to send an invoice each month.
