+ SWS (Standard Work Sheet)
+ PFD (Process Flow Diagram)
+ CM (Characteristic Matrix)
+ PFMEA (Potential Failure Modes & Effect Analysis)
+ PCP (Process Control Plan)
+ IPV (In-Process Validation)
+ Menindaklanjuti temuan dan tindakan dari eCI (Electronic Continuous Improvement) serta AQE (All Quality Event) yang berkaitan langsung dengan lini produksi.
+ Mengelola data dari Quality Gate yang relevan dengan lini produksi untuk mendukung analisis SPC (Statistical Process Control).
+ Menindaklanjuti seluruh dokumen PIS (Place in Services) dan dokumen scrap di bawah tanggung jawab tim Fabrication Manufacturing Engineering.

Job Overview

This role reports to Maintenance and Tooling Manager.

The Plastic Molding Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing plastic injection molding processes to ensure high-quality production. This role involves troubleshooting molding defects, improving manufacturing efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Process Development & Optimization

  • Develop and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing products.
  • Conduct mold flow analysis and design experiments (DOE) to improve part quality.
  • Set up and validate molding parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot molding defects (sink marks, warpage, flash, short shots, etc.).

Tooling & Mold Design Support

  • Collaborate with tooling engineers and mold designers to ensure manufacturability.
  • Review mold designs and recommend improvements for durability and efficiency.
  • Oversee mold trials (T0, T1, T2) and ensure proper mold maintenance.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure molded parts meet dimensional, cosmetic, and functional specifications.
  • Work with QA teams to implement quality control measures (SPC, FMEA, etc.).
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).

Production Support

  • Provide technical support to production teams to minimize downtime.
  • Train operators on proper molding techniques and machine handling.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend upgrades or repairs.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain process documentation (work instructions, parameter sheets, etc.).
  • Analyze production data and generate reports on yield, scrap rates, and efficiency.
