As a Channel Development Lead, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and expanding sales channels to increase market penetration and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute channel development strategies across offline stores: modern trade, general trade, and distributors.
- Develop and implement Route to Market (RTM) strategies tailored to target markets and product characteristics.
- Plan and oversee the implementation of Trade Marketing programs across channels to boost product visibility and sell-out performance.
- Analyze potential new channels and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive performance in existing channels through targeted promotions, bundling, pricing, and campaigns.
- Monitor skincare industry trends and consumer behavior to refine RTM, trade marketing, and channel strategies.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Min. 1 years of experience in channel development, trade marketing, or other relevant roles (preferably within FMCG/beauty/skincare industry).
- Strong knowledge of Route to Market (RTM) strategies, including distribution planning, coverage expansion, channel mapping, and execution.
- Solid understanding of Trade Marketing, including promotion planning, product display, merchandising, and program effectiveness evaluation.
- Strong knowledge of modern retail and skincare/cosmetics distribution landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Job Purpose
As a Channel Development Manager, you'll lead the development of channel strategies that turn brand ambition into impactful market execution. You'll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and other commercial functions to translate insights into effective outlet plans, unlock new channel opportunities, and ensure strong visibility and performance across modern and traditional On Trade. You'll also play a key role in leading a team, managing budgets, and driving execution excellence in a complex, fast-paced market.

Main Responsibilities
- Build the Trade strategy for Modern and Traditional channels, based on shopper insights and brand priorities.
- Define and implement outlet standards (PICOS) to ensure strong brand visibility and execution.
- Identify and lead new channel opportunities to grow our presence and performance.
- Plan and review promotions and activities, ensuring they deliver strong results and align with business goals.
- Manage the On Trade budget effectively to maximize impact and return on investment.
- Lead and develop a team, supporting their growth and performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Brand, Revenue Management, etc.) to ensure seamless execution.
Candidate Criteria
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field.
- Experience:
6+ years of commercial experience, including 4+ years in Trade Marketing and 2+ years in people management.
Proven track record in navigating complex and fragmented markets.
- Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical thinking, planning, and communication skills.
Comfortable operating in a "dark market" with high creativity and agility.
Fluent in English (spoken & written); other local languages are a plus.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and presenting to senior stakeholders.

1.Channel Strategy Development:
•Develop and execute channel development strategies tailored to specific channels (e.g., Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Minimarkets, MWS, MTI/LKA) aligning with consumer, shopper, and customer requirements;
•Collaborate with Marketing for 360-activity planning to drive demand generation for key portfolios.

4.Modern Trade Growth Lever Initiatives:
