What you'll be doing day to day:
- Proactively convert concept in the source language into target language. Responsible to trans-creating a text which is mix of translation, localization and copywriting that can be adapted into target language to suit local culture
- Translate text via translation global system, internal documents and company website from English to Indonesia and vice versa. Proofread, edit, rephrase, revise or rewrite created/ translated materials in English or in Indonesian language
- Render spoken messages clearly, quickly and accurately. Using specialist knowledge, like technical terminology
- Work closely with technical team to translate materials to be covered in marketing materials or in-store communications. Also build good relationship with other departments
- Responsible to standardized templates and working papers to conform to IKEA tone of voice and perform necessary update from time to time
- Responsible to compile, develop and maintain, terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms such as those for home furnishing, and marketing materials
- Use translation competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store and product communication by applying the principles of IKEA tone of voice, visual and verbal identity
- Stay up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends to follow creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA tone of voice
We want you to be a person who:
- Excellent verbal, reading and written communication skills, both in local language and English. Has background related to English Literature will be an advantage
- Min. 3 years of working experience in the related field and advance skills in Ms. Office
- Interest in home furnishing, marketing, business term
- Ability to speak, read and write fluently in at least two languages, English and Bahasa Indonesia
- Able to work multitasking with tight deadline and have an excellent time management

This includes crafting press materials, managing media engagement, addressing issues swiftly, and promoting stories that emphasize affordability, safety, and the positive impact on driver-partners. By partnering with key opinion leaders and advocates, you will help build inclusive narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and strengthen our brand reputation.
You will report to the Head of Communications. This role will be based on-site in the Jakarta office.
