Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in tourism, hospitality, or travel agency industry (preferred).
- D3/D4 – S1 in Tourism or a related field (highly preferred).
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Excellent time management, multi-tasking ability, strong administrative skills, adaptable, and able to work both in the office and in the field.

Accountabilities:

- Manage cruise operational administration, including paperwork, reservations, updating payments, and maintaining accurate records
- Manage and maintain departmental records, databases, and filing systems.
- Communication: Serve as a central point of contact for the department. Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and events for department members. Arrange travel and accommodation for department staff.
- Document Management: Prepare and edit documents, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure document accuracy, consistency, and compliance with ship standards.
- Data Entry and Analysis: Input and maintain data in departmental databases and systems. Assist in the analysis and presentation of data as needed.

Position Overview:
The Cruise Director is responsible for the overall guest experience onboard, coordinating all activities, entertainment, and diving schedules to ensure that each guest has a memorable journey. The Cruise Director will act as the face of the cruise, ensuring smooth communication between all departments and enhancing the guest experience through proactive service and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Hospitality Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all guest-related matters, ensuring their comfort, satisfaction, and safety throughout the cruise.
- Greet guests at the start of the cruise, provide briefings, and offer ongoing information about the itinerary, activities, and daily schedules.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and any service issues promptly and professionally, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.
- Conduct daily debriefings to gather feedback and make real-time adjustments to improve the guest experience.
Activity & Dive Coordination:
- Develop and manage the daily itinerary, including dive schedules, excursions, and onboard activities.
- Coordinate with dive guides, instructors, and boat crew to ensure all dive and activities run smoothly, safely, and on time.
- Provide detailed briefings to guests on each dive/leisure site, marine life, and environmental conservation practices.
- Organize and lead onboard events and entertainment (lectures, presentations, social activities) to keep guests engaged and entertained throughout the cruise.
Crew Management & Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and motivate the crew, ensuring they provide excellent service and maintain high standards in all areas.
- Oversee the performance of all onboard staff, providing guidance, feedback, and training to ensure service quality.
- Foster a positive team environment, ensuring clear communication and coordination between departments (hospitality, diving, kitchen, and maintenance).
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during activities and that guests are fully briefed on emergency procedures.
- Oversee the execution of safety drills and ensure that the crew is well-prepared for emergency situations.
- Collaborate with the Captain and crew to ensure the vessel adheres to all local regulations and international maritime laws.
Itinerary & Logistics Management:
- Collaborate with the Captain and Boat Manager to create and adjust itineraries based on weather conditions, guest preferences, and logistics.
- Manage the logistics of excursions, including transportation, permits, and any required entry fees.
- Ensure that all activities are well-organized and run on time, with contingency plans in place for unexpected changes.
Guest Relations & Problem Solving:
- Act as the primary mediator between guests and the crew, addressing any concerns, conflicts, or complaints.
- Offer creative solutions to enhance guest experiences and resolve issues in a way that ensures guest satisfaction.
- Continuously seek guest feedback and implement improvements to elevate the overall cruise experience.
Reporting & Communication:
- Provide daily reports to senior management on guest feedback, activities, and operational performance.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication between the Captain, crew, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage guest surveys and evaluations at the end of each trip, using feedback to make ongoing improvements.
Qualifications:
- Certified as a Dive Master or Instructor (e.g., PADI, SSI, NAUI, etc.).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in leading dives and dive tours or liveaboards.
- Strong knowledge of dive equipment and maintenance.
- First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia (additional languages are a plus).
- Strong passion for diving and the marine environment.
- Ability to work in remote, marine, and challenging conditions.
