Key Duties and Responsibilities
Manages and services large scale 'in-country' data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure 24x7 operations in rotating shifts.
Supports the organisation's data centre services through active 24x7 monitoring of the infrastructure.
- Acts as Level 1 escalation point for all onsite operational incidents, respond & perform remote requests within SLA.
- Documents and updates accurately all requests on the internal Web Portal ticketing system such as user requests, incidents, provisioning, etc.
- Delivers ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.
- Ensures effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policy and procedures.
- Coordinates and provides support to contractors and vendors as well as inspecting completed work.
- Plans and supports all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little to no disruption to company's services.
- Participates and supports internal and external audits for internal stakeholders and customers.
- Generates accurate and regular reports when required.
- Any other duties or project as assigned by the Management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Has ITE Certificate or equivalent in Computing/Electrical/Mechanical
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications such as building services, mechanical engineering
- Possess general knowledge of M&E and Network Critical Infrastructure
- Broad knowledge in DC facilities related systems such as PDUs, UPS, DC Rectifier, DRUPs, CRAUs, DX cooling, fire protections, etc
- Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written English & Bahasa
- Computer Proficiency - MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Possess relevant facilities management and/or data centre related certifications, such as ITIL,
- CDCP, CDCS, etc
- Broad knowledge in cloud technology, network, data centre facilities, system applications and related IT systems.
- Familiar with certifications standards, such as LEED Gold, ISO 2000 / 22301 / 27001, Uptime Institute Tier III, etc
- Open to rotating shifts and capable of adapting to different schedules

The DCEO Engineer is responsible for engineering operations including risk management and mitigation, planning, implementation of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical infrastructure and vendor management within our AWS Data Center environment. They are responsible for day-to-day operational excellence, maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.
Key job responsibilities
The Data Center Engineering Operation Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating within contract parameters within facilities. Often this will be including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.
- Act as the site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders involving communication and relationship management.
- Meet daily hours of operations, on call requirements and response during rotations.
- Manage minor and major planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure, with a solid understanding of the works involved, risks, mitigation and seeking approvals within relevant SLA's as required.
- Responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on all aspects of the data center facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate change management requests & incident management tickets for DCEO activities.

- Responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Performance and oversight of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
- Work schedule changes depending on specific site needs. Shifts can be up to 12-hours and may rotate on a predefined schedule. Some locations have on-call rotations.

- 2+ years of relevant work experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire systems experience in a data center or critical space facility

Responsibilities May Include
- Responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.

- Generate change management requests & incident management tickets for DCEO activities.

- Responsible for the installation of the racks and namely the provision of power/cooling hand off.
- Review and manage planned and unplanned maintenance and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switch gear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.
- Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
- Management of the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
- Participate in regular operational meetings
- Review Work Order compliance & ensure all contractual SLA's are achieved.

Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrate skills, competencies, and capabilities in leading and managing operation of critical facilities which require in-depth knowledge in electrical, mechanical, and control system (generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS and DRUPS, electrical sub distribution systems, fire detection and suppression systems).

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) Team is the backbone of AWS, supporting the rapidly growing AWS business and customers 24/7. We are looking for a Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Engineer with experience in critical facilities management, and a result-driven individual with strong technical understanding and the drive and vision to take our data center engineering operations to the next level. The DCEO Engineer is responsible for engineering operations including risk management and mitigation, planning, implementation of corrective and preventative maintenance for critical infrastructure and vendor management within our AWS Data Center environment. They are responsible for day-to-day operational excellence, maintenance of the critical infrastructure, supervising specialist vendors, acting as first responders to incidents, and becoming subject matter experts for the facility.
Key job responsibilities
The Data Center Engineering Operation Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center is operating within contract parameters within facilities. Often this will be including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.
- Act as the site primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders involving communication and relationship management.
- Meet daily hours of operations, on call requirements and response during rotations.
- Manage minor and major planned and unplanned site works for critical infrastructure, with a solid understanding of the works involved, risks, mitigation and seeking approvals within relevant SLA's as required.
- Responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analysis, and prepare reports on all aspects of the data center facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate change management requests & incident management tickets for DCEO activities.
- Work with DCO managers (IT), Networking, Logistics, Safety, Security and other business leaders and operating partners to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability and efficiency.
- Establish documentation relevant to technical support of business & facility operations.
- Drive & implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability & reliability.
- Assist in recruiting efforts.
- Support operating partners in the resolution of any infrastructure engineering issues
A day in the life
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Perform rack installs, rack decommissioning, and facility management.
- Provide operational readings and key performance indicators to make sure uptime is maintained
- Responsible for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation.
- Performance and oversight of maintenance and operations on all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
- Work schedule changes depending on specific site needs. Shifts can be up to 12-hours and may rotate on a predefined schedule. Some locations have on-call rotations.

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in maintaining electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire systems experience in a data center or critical space facility
- Familiar with the concepts and interaction of Service Management systems (Problem and Change).
- Ability to participate in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster.
Preferred Qualifications

· Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning and build out of new facilities.

· Management of the provision of infrastructure & inventory asset management.
· Participate in regular operational meetings

Basic Qualifications
