About the job
Based Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, the Learning & Development Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, assisting in the planning, coordination, and delivery of training programs, trainee management, and learning & development initiatives. This role contributes to building colleague capability, supporting career growth, and promoting a culture of continuous learning in alignment with the hotel's service and brand standards. The Learning & Development Coordinator reports to the Assistant Learning & Development Manager.
As Learning & Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following duties:
1. Training Coordination & Facilitation
Support setting up all Learning & Development (L&D) facilities, including training room setup, material preparation, and equipment maintenance.
Set up the Learning & Development Centre, ensuring all tools and resources are well organized and available.
Support the delivery of a creative, fun, and engaging learning environment, especially during Orientation / Move In programs.
Design monthly training posters, grooming posters, and training photos to increase training visibility and engagement.
Support the L&D team in ensuring all learning sessions run smoothly and align with MOHG standards.
2. Trainee Management
Support trainees with application forms and all required documentation during the recruitment process.
Organize second interviews for trainees with respective department heads.
Assess trainee progress including medical check-ups, background checks, and issuance of offer letters.
Send out letters of acceptance and regret letters, and ensure proper filing.
Support trainee inquiries regarding personal days, sick days, vacation requests, and other leave-related matters.
Prepare trainee employment verification letters as needed.
Organize and update trainee files and databases, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Evaluate and supervise trainee gatherings and farewell sessions at the end of each trainee cycle.
Generate the monthly report for trainee allowances and BPJS registration.
3. Training Tracking & Records
Summarize the monthly training report for internal records and review.
Calculate general training hours and departmental training hours on a monthly basis.
Generate Move In and Safe & Sound training matrix for all colleagues.
Develop L&D plans for colleagues across all levels.
Support and promote the Company's Mission, Guiding Principles, and Legendary Quality Experiences (LQE) throughout all training programs and initiatives.
4. General Support
- Support Learning & Development leader by performing additional tasks as required, according to departmental needs.
As Learning & Development Coordinator, we expect from you:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year experience in Learning & Development, preferably within the hospitality industry.
Experience in designing and delivering training programs and learning initiatives.
Comprehensive knowledge of internal departmental operations across the organization.
Skills & Competencies
