The Technical Expert, Underground Field Engineering Services advises on the field engineering activities for the underground geotechnical team and QAQC team with focus on the design, implementation, and verification of ground control systems. Our client is seeking a highly motivated and innovative Remote Electrical Engineering Lead to spearhead the development of cutting-edge Smart Grid Solutions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere, with a focus on driving advancements in power systems technology. You will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and implementing complex electrical systems for smart grids, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and sustainability. Key responsibilities include leading a remote team of electrical engineers, defining project scope and technical specifications, conducting feasibility studies, and overseeing the lifecycle of electrical grid components. This role requires deep expertise in power system protection, control systems, renewable energy integration, and grid modernization technologies. You will be expected to develop and maintain detailed electrical schematics, collaborate with external vendors and stakeholders, and stay abreast of the latest industry trends and regulatory requirements. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a proven ability to manage projects effectively in a distributed environment. A strong understanding of simulation software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E) and experience with SCADA systems is highly desirable.
