Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead our engineering efforts in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role involves the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems for a variety of innovative products and industrial applications. Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of mechanical components and systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
  • Manage the mechanical engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, software development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and vibration analysis using simulation tools.
  • Develop and implement testing procedures to validate mechanical designs.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and R&D efforts for new product development.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering teams and projects.
  • Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA) and FEA tools.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a remote environment.
