As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Being under general supervision conduct routine laboratory tests, including the necessary checks and operations of equipment required in the laboratory.
• Working and reviewing for accuracy and overall adequacy.
• Providing records of such equipment and others to the customer representative at the customer site.
• Carrying out all required action safely and as described in the standard operations manual.
• Performing other related duties and handles special projects, as assigned.

As a Laboratory Technician, you will support daily laboratory operations including maintaining lab cleanliness, managing inventory of flavors and raw materials and compounding samples for tasting and customer submission. You will also assist in technical evaluations, data management and sample dispatch processes. Additionally, this role involves system checks for product compliance and may support customer visits when required.

Job Description

• Carrying out hematology, chemistry, serology, urine, feces and body fluid examinations in accordance with predetermined SOPs and carrying out data entry into the system used to ensure the availability of complete and timely examination data
• Carry out data entry and data release of hematology, chemistry, serology, urine, feces and body fluid examination results according to needs and requests, either using a computer or manually to ensure the availability of complete and timely examination data
• Prioritize reporting of CITO, CCU examination results and examination results related to the patient's critical condition so that they can be conveyed as quickly as possible to the doctor or nurse
• Record usage and make requests for equipment, carry out preventive maintenance activities to maintain availability, cleanliness and maintenance of equipment used in hematology, chemistry, serology, urine, feces and body fluid examination services
• Record and organize the storage of hematology, chemistry, serology, urine, feces and body fluid examination results to maintain the completeness and availability of examination results according to the needs of doctors and patients
• Record and organize the procurement/receipt/use of hematology, chemistry, serology, urine, feces and body fluid examination reagents to ensure the smoothness and continuity of related services

Responsibilities

• Report to CSC Manager/Solution Lead/Specialist, assisting in research and development projects and assignments in a timely manner with high technical integrity.
• Prepare food & beverage product samples with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Manage the inventory for raw materials, finished goods and consumable items for the laboratory.
• Perform regular maintenance of laboratory equipment by inspecting calibrating, cleaning, or sterilizing
• Maintain good record of testing results. Able to present and interpret analysis of the data where required.

Laboratory Technician

PURPOSE

Support the QC General Lead in reviewing, analyzing testing results, documenting findings, and providing technical expertise while maintaining agility in accordance with Bayer and Authority regulations related to Quality Control.

MAJOR TASKS

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations at each work stage and supervise cleanliness and tidiness in the laboratory to meet HSE requirements.
• Conduct sampling as scheduled under QC responsibility, including materials, reserved samples, bulk drug products, utilities, equipment, and environmental systems. This includes documentation, data analysis review, trend monitoring of environmental data, and maintaining/archiving analytical reports.
• Perform testing on all QC samples, including finished goods, commercial/post-market stability, raw and packaging materials, microbiology, and environmental monitoring samples as scheduled. This includes documentation, data analysis review, maintaining/archiving analytical reports, and providing reserve samples.
• Conduct analytical testing for initial cleaning and cleaning validation samples.
• Ensure all QC instruments are calibrated, troubleshoot issues, and maintain the maintenance program.
• Ensure no overdue training and perform personnel qualifications or comparative assessments for analyst qualifications.
• Ensure compliance in all aspects of analytical testing, documentation, cleanliness, and tidiness.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's or Diploma degree in microbiology, pharmacy, or chemistry (preferred), or a high school background in chemistry/microbiology.
• Excellent leadership skills and capabilities.
• Ability to work on a shift model (if required).
• Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting Bayer and international/global guidelines, as well as writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English.
• Ability to foster a positive work atmosphere within the internal team and with other teams.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a QC microbiology laboratory, particularly in scheduling and laboratory investigation.
• Knowledge of current GMP and relevant national and international regulations for pharmaceutical products.
