What Role You Will Play In Our Team
As a Mechanical Technician, support the maintenance team by performing routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Responsible for diagnosing faults, repairing components, and assisting in equipment installations and upgrades. Contributes directly to minimizing downtime and improving asset reliability. Work closely with Operations, Engineers and other Technicians to maintain high standards of safety and performance.

What You Will Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems to ensure operational reliability and safety.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs or replacements of components such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rotating machinery.
• Assist in equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to support continuous improvement and minimize equipment downtime.

About You
Skills and qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Maximum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in an Oil & Gas environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Relevant mechanical or maintenance certifications (e.g., welding, rigging, alignment, safety training).
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and standards.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in field or workshop environments, including confined spaces or working at heights.
