Overview:

Ledgerowl is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join the team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly accounting and tax tasks as assigned.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new clients/projects, including setting up the Chart of Accounts (COA) in Xero, preparing working papers, and managing communication tools.
  • Handle financial operations such as creating tax invoices, withholding tax certificates, and other related documents.

  • Implement a robust QA/QC process in every project step (e.g., data quality, preparing workplan, data compilation, and literature review) to meet the project scope of work and PTHI standards.
  • Carry out every task given by always prioritizing occupational safety & health, security, confidentiality, and being environmentally friendly.
  • Apply the Hatfield style or other style guide required for each writing contribution.
  • Work in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams to undertake impact assessments, due diligence projects, and other environmental studies.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental management, forestry, and biology or a relevant field. A Master's degree from a reputable university will be an advantage.
  • Minimum five years of experience involved in projects related to environmental, social, and health impact assessments (ESHIA/AMDAL), environmental and social due diligence, environmental management and mitigation, and other services, preferably in a consulting environment and with a demonstrable track record of increasing responsibilities.
  • Experience with national regulations regarding biodiversity impact assessments and biodiversity safeguard documents which include critical habitat assessment, ecosystem services assessment, biodiversity management plan and biodiversity action plan.

As part of the Hatfield team, you will support the coordination and execution of field programs, and support hydrology components of Hatfield's environmental management projects.

The ideal candidate will have training in hydrology, hydrogeology, and climatology, and will be experienced in leading hydrologic field programs that include station installation. This position has considerable scope for career development and advancement, and over time, you will support or lead the training of colleagues in reproducible data science.

  • Ensure compliance with Hatfield's Health and Safety Management Plan, the law, and client health and safety protocols.
  • Prepare for, lead and/or participate in field programs required for hydrologic data collection and monitoring programs.
  • When in the field, support the mentoring of junior staff regarding equipment installation, data collection, and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated to meet operational and field requirements.
  • Compile, manage, and assess hydrologic, water use, water quality, and other environmental data.
  • Support ongoing quality data management and analysis components of assigned projects.
  • Support reporting to clients and regulatory agencies (e.g., draft technical report sections and data summaries).
  • Communicate technical information efficiently and effectively (verbal and written).

  • B.Sc. or technical diploma in natural/environmental sciences with some prior formal training (e.g., coursework) in hydrology or physical geography.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with field programs, including surface water, or climate monitoring instrumentation or investigation.
  • Ability and interest to undertake fieldwork in a range of locations and weather conditions, including working in remote locations, and on programs that may require camp stays.
  • Comfortable using technology and a variety of environmental monitoring systems such as dataloggers and software packages.
  • Project coordination, field project management, or other project management experience.
  • Experience and interest in data management, compilation, and analyses.
  • Attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of adherence to field standard operating procedures and good data collection.

  • Ability to work as part of a team with varying levels of experience while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment that requires flexibility and the willingness to work overtime in support of field programs.
  • Must have the ability to drive a pickup truck, and have held a valid driver's license for the past three years with a clean driving abstract.

This role

Our world-class Product and Engineering teams delivered almost 1,000 new features last year. As one of our Engineers, you'll play a vital role in the continued acceleration of our product strategy.

We're looking for Intermediate Software Development Engineers to help us scale our products and features. This role will help us continue the development and modernising of our core platform (which serves over 300,000 customers) as we continue to expand. You'll be able to learn from our cross-functional, geographically distributed teams and accelerate your career in a fully remote, flexible environment where you'll work from home.

Your key focus areas will be

  • End-to-end development for new and current cloud-based applications, including working on the technology roadmap with Product Owners, designing solutions with your squad, new feature development, through to production, improving/optimising and maintenance
  • Debugging and performing root cause analysis for application issues
  • Taking initiative in recommending improvements to the development process
  • Proactively identify application pain points and suggest mitigation strategies
  • Performing peer reviews of code changes
  • Performing testing of new features/enhancements/bug fixes
  • Maintaining documentation and help articles for new/updated features
  • Providing training sessions for the support team for new features
  • Working closely with business stakeholders within an agile environment
Who you are
