About the role
Reporting into the Head of Buying, this is an exciting opportunity to join the sourcing team at PT Logika Prima Perdana, a leading retailer in Indonesia. As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in identifying and securing the best products and suppliers to support the continued growth and success of the business. This full-time position is based in our Kebon Jeruk, Jakarta office.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting market research to identify new product trends and sourcing opportunities
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure the most competitive pricing and favourable terms
- Evaluating supplier capabilities, quality, and lead times to ensure a reliable supply chain
- Collaborating with the buying team to develop product assortment and placement strategies
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing suppliers and exploring new vendor partnerships
- Providing detailed reporting and analysis to support purchasing and inventory decisions
- Contributing to the overall procurement strategy and continuous improvement of processes
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a sourcing or buying role within the retail industry
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence suppliers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks
- Familiarity with retail trends, product categories, and supply chain management
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally
