Job Description:

• Perform a full range of laboratory assignments and apply professional judgment in making decisions, including interpretation and application of guidelines to specific work situations.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments; record data, perform routine maintenance, and make minor adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with universal safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from biohazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens.

Qualifications:

• Diploma degree in Laboratory Analyst or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a laboratory setting.
• Experience in DNA/RNA extraction, real-time PCR, and working in a Biosafety Level-2 laboratory is preferred.
• Possess a valid STR.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Unit (BU) team to test new materials and footwear constructions, providing technical support during development and production.
• Ensure shoe factory and accredited labs in Indonesia correctly implement and interpret Deckers' test methods and standards.
• Work closely with T1 and T2 lab leaders to ensure timely sample testing and sufficient lab testing capacity.
• Guide and train T1/T2 lab staff on proper testing procedures, conduct lab training, and oversee accreditation exams.
• Assist in reviewing international and industry test methods and support the Lab Manager in updating Deckers' test methods.
• Conduct lab audits to evaluate performance in testing procedures, reporting, operations, equipment calibration, compliance, and documentation.
• Participate in seasonal product reviews with the Product Development (PD) team, highlighting material quality concerns.
• Review 3rd-party lab reports, ensuring accuracy and requesting corrections if needed.
• Monitor Deckers Enterprise Test Methods compliance for China orders and SASO compliance for Saudi Arabia orders.
• Travel to T1/T2 factories across Asia as required to support lab improvements and achieve team goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• 5–8 years of experience in footwear manufacturing or a 3rd-party laboratory.
• 1–2 years of lab testing experience in the footwear industry.
• Familiarity with shoe manufacturing processes is preferred.
• Strong English communication skills.

Quality Lab Technician- Your future position?
As a Quality Lab Technician with Givaudan, the global leader in fragrance and flavor industry, you will under limited supervision to inspect and analyze raw materials, in-process as well as finished product samples to secure compliance with product safety regulations, specifications and standards. This position will be report to Quality Team Leader.

In this exciting role you also will:

• Perform chemical and sensory evaluations.
• Create sensory plan and lead sensory evaluations of products.
• Enter test results into SAP timely resulting in an acceptance or rejection.
• Performs basic equipment calibrations per frequency noted in calibration procedures.
• Perform instruments, equipment and quality deviations troubleshooting in laboratory.
• Maintain work a hygienic, 5S implementation and safe work environment.
• Provide backup and support to team members as necessary.
• Identify opportunity for improvements in QC and set proactive measure for trouble prevention.
