Position: Physico-Chemical Analysis Specialist (Water & Food)
Location: Ivory Coast (West Africa)
About the Role
The Physico-Chemical Analysis Specialist will perform advanced physico-chemical testing of water and food products, ensuring accurate results that meet both local and international compliance requirements. The role demands strong expertise in instrumentation and analytical methods, as well as a commitment to maintaining ISO 17025 standards, while contributing to the laboratory's reputation as a regional reference center in analytical excellence.
Top 5 Must-Haves
- Demonstrated expertise in physico-chemical analysis of food and water samples.
- Hands-on experience operating advanced instruments (FT-NIR, FT-IR, ion chromatography, XRF, and related techniques).
- Proven ability to operate under ISO 17025 standards, including method validation and documentation.
- Minimum 4 years' laboratory experience in water or food testing.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity in reporting.
Top 3 Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in third-party testing laboratories serving multiple sectors.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for manufacturing.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and quality.
- Conduct process simulations and modeling using specialized software.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Manage process scale-up from pilot plant to full production.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and engineering teams on process development projects.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs and operating procedures.

- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical process engineering, with a focus on petrochemicals.
- Proven experience in process design, simulation, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, and transport phenomena.
- Experience with safety analysis techniques (e.g., HAZOP).
