Job Description
This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.
The role acts as the in-house legal support for Yard operational matters.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
Providing legal advice and support to PaxOcean Batam operations, including:

• Advising a broad range of contentious and non-contentious matters / projects;
• liaising with external lawyers where required;
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as newbuilding contracts, conversion contracts, repair contracts, recycling and module fabrication contracts, joint venture agreements, leases, vendor and commercial contracts;

Job Requirements

Job Description

• Support the Indonesian team on all legal matters in Indonesia, including legal assistance related to the Company's Non-Performing Loan portfolios.
• Assist in the preparation and review of settlement documents, restructuring agreements, and related correspondence with corporate debtors.
• Provide support in relation to pre-litigation matters and evidentiary documentation concerning corporate accounts.
• Oversee corporate regulatory compliance in coordination with in-house legal assistants and external legal counsel.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support on a variety of transactions and corporate actions, including development and financing of large-scale renewable energy projects.
• Conduct legal due diligence, review, draft, and negotiate legal documents related to corporate and project transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, services/maintenance agreements, EPC agreements, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements, land-related agreements, and other commercial contracts.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Completed a Bachelor of Law (LLB) undergraduate degree or a Juris Doctor (JD) postgraduate degree. Complete Practical Legal Training (PLT) or equivalent with combined 8 to 12 years of education and training.
• A strong preference for candidates with tobacco or tobacco-related industry exposure
• Adaptable and a versatile mindset, comfortable working in stressful and fast-paced environment
• Incumbent to be commercially savvy as legal matters often involve multiple stakeholders, different legal issues and, more importantly, often a subset of the business function in an organization.
