Role Overview- Brainstorm and conduct research to plan casual mobile games, including their mechanics and accompanying mini-games.
- Collaborate with the UI/UX designer, UI artists, art directors, developers, project managers, QA testers, and other game designers/product managers to define the requirements for new mechanics and mini-games.
- Experiment with core game mechanics and mini-game designs, and explore opportunities presented by competitors.
- Outline the gameplay experience (e.g., core game mechanics, path arrangements, upgrades, mini-games) in documentation, which will serve as a reference and source of inspiration throughout development.
- Balance the game economy and difficulty by adhering to the principles established by the lead game designer.
- Provide assistance to artists and engineers as they translate a vision into an engaging player experience.
- Identify and resolve issues uncovered by playtesters and cross-functional teams related to core game and mini-games, addressing the root causes of problems.
- Understand and assist tech artists in implementing the desired VFX and objects when developing new quests and mini-game mechanics.
- Oversee the development of game core from inception to completion, including assisting with testing to ensure top quality.
