The Position

Medical Director
As Medical Director, you will inspire, empower, and lead the Medical Chapter to deliver better outcomes for more patients, faster. The Opportunity

• You will lead Roche Indonesia's Medical Chapter by setting a bold vision and enabling your teams to focus on long-term, patient-centered solutions. As part of the Affiliate Leadership Team, you will bring cross-functional collaboration, scientific integrity, and a systems-thinking approach to everything you do
• Define and implement impactful medical strategies focused on value demonstration, evidence generation, and external engagement
• Represent Roche with scientific and healthcare stakeholders, including policymakers, patient groups, and external partners
• Lead cross-functional integration across regulatory, clinical, quality, safety, and compliance functions
• Empower the Medical Chapter to generate local insights, conduct clinical research, and strengthen access through robust data and partnerships
• Uphold the highest standards in medical governance, scientific communication, and digital health compliance
• Act as Roche's Chief Medical Officer delegate for Indonesia, ensuring regulatory readiness, LTO excellence, and global alignment
• Serve as a coach and catalyst, developing mindsets and capabilities that support an empowered, high-performing medical organization

Who You Are

• You are a purpose-driven medical leader who combines clinical knowledge with strategic leadership. You are collaborative, future-focused, and passionate about science, innovation, and impact
• Medical degree (MD) required; postgraduate qualifications preferred
• 7–10+ years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams
• Strong expertise in clinical development, scientific communication, and medical governance
• Experience in digital health, integrated evidence planning, and external stakeholder engagement
• Deep understanding of the Indonesian healthcare system and regulatory environment

• Oversee the development of policies, management, and reporting of medical operations to enhance corporate performance.

Profile

A successful Medical Head should have:

• Licensed Medical Doctor (MD) with valid STR and SIP in Indonesia.
• Minimum 15 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in hospital management or medical governance.
• Strong exposure of BPJS systems, accreditation standards, and Ministry of Health regulations.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and implement strategic clinical initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced degree in healthcare management is preferred.

About The Role

• Medical Governance & Compliance

• Ensure all medical activities comply with local regulations, company SOPs, and ethical standards.
