Test Promotion Specialist
Job Summary
- We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Test Promotion Specialist to manage and coordinate the testing policy, strategy, plan and execution of infrastructure and application across multiple test environments (e.g., Development, QA, UAT, Staging). The position requires strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, incl. regional/global counterparts.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and Promote Test Policy, Strategy and Plan .
- Manage and execute the promotion of test policy, strategy, and test plan of large-scale project across multiple parties globally, based on the initial requirements and scope defined during the basic study. This includes identifying the types of tests that will be needed, such as System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Environment Readiness
- Coordinate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure: environment readiness (Plan, provision, and maintain test environments (Dev, QA, UAT, Staging)).
- Verify that test environments are properly configured and available for testing activities.
- Coordinate with environment managers and infrastructure teams to resolve setup issues.
- Deployment Documentation
- Preparing initial test documentation, such as test cases and scenarios, based on the requirements and scope defined during the basic study.
- Maintain accurate records of build versions, deployment timelines, and promotion history.
- Ensure traceability and auditability of all promotion activities.
- Cross-Functional Communication
- Engaging with stakeholders to understand their expectations and requirements for testing. This helps in aligning the testing objectives with the overall project goals.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to align promotion schedules.
- Act as a liaison between local teams, regional office, and headquarters to align environment activities.
- Facilitate coordination across development, QA, operations, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in regular sync meetings and provide clear updates to international teams.
- Issue / Risk Management
- Identify and escalate environment or test-related issues.
- Support defect triage and assist in root cause analysis when needed.
- Assess risks related to testing and quality assurance. This involves identifying potential challenges that might affect the testing phase and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Resource Planning
- Assist in planning the resources needed for the testing phase, including personnel, tools, and environments. This ensures that everything is in place when the project moves into the testing phase.
- Process Compliance
- Define and enforce environment management standards and procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment and testing workflows.
- Ensure compliance with audit and security requirements.
Qualifications
- Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) – required for daily communication with regional and global teams.
- Experience minimum 10 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in environment management, release management, or Quality Assurance.
- Experience in managing environments for large-scale or enterprise-level projects.

- Create code that's easy to read
- Able to perform Test Automation and set up frameworks on multiple application platforms like Web, Mobile - Android and API
- Work with the team to maintain, improve and clean your code
- Review each other's code and learn the software engineering best practices
- Work with deployments teams and resolve issues for the system
- Build and manage automated build/test/deployment environments
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in Automation Testing of software applications
- Experience of working with Web, Mobile and API Testing in both manual & automation testing
- Deep knowledge of Manual & Automation test methodologies and principles
- Experience with Agile process management methodology
- Proficiency in, at least, one programming language such as Javascript (preferably), Java, Python, Ruby, etc.
- Highly experienced with testing tools such as Jira, TestRail, Git, Appium, Selenium, , RestAssured, TestNG, Cucumber, CI/CD pipelines
- High level understanding on how the internet works (HTTP, DNS, IP, Server-client interaction, etc)
- Ability to spike and choose appropriate automated testing tools for the given problem statement
- Knowledge of Performance & Security Testing and Linux/Unix commands
