- Identify potential suppliers / farmers as alternative supplier references based on quality, price, and collaboration ability.
- Staying informed about trends in natural ingredients, raw material availability, and market pricing.
- Conduct price negotiations in the initial discussion stage before the purchasing department proceeds with the transaction.
- Identifying, evaluating, establishing relationships with suppliers and securing the best prices for commodities such as coffee, tea, spices, essential oils, or other natural resources.
- Prepare reports on supply forecasts (quantity), price projections, weather predictions, and harvest schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from agriculture, supply chain management, or related fields.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in natural commodities (e.g., agriculture, food ingredients, or raw materials).
- Microsoft office proficient is a must.
- Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
- Prior exposure to commodity markets (tea, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, essential oil, functional, spices & seasonings , coconut, fruit & vegetables, natural sweeteners) and understanding of supply and demand dynamics.
- Supplier relationship management to ensure long-term, reliable sourcing.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Willing to travel both domestically and internationally, to inspect operations and meet with suppliers.
