Main Responsibility:

The Superintendent Quality Analyst is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of coal production aligns with company standards and client specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity, optimizing coal blending strategies, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The incumbent will lead the Quality Control team, coordinate with operations and shipping, and provide strategic input to improve coal quality performance across the site.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Develop and implement quality control procedures for coal sampling, analysis, and reporting.
• Supervise daily coal quality monitoring activities across mining, hauling, stockpiling, and loading operations.
• Ensure the coal laboratory daily activities run well.
• Analyze laboratory results and ensure coal meets contractual specifications before shipment.
• Ensure the implementation of barging in accordance with the coal blending plan.
• Coordinate with mining, hauling, and shipping teams to optimize coal blending and minimize quality deviation.
• Lead investigations into quality discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of coal quality data and generate regular performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards and internal quality protocols.
• Liaise with third-party laboratories and ensure calibration and accuracy of testing equipment.
• Support audits and inspections related to coal quality and environmental compliance.
• Manage and mentor the Quality Control team, including performance evaluation.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Certification

• Preferably certified in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• HSE certifications (e.g., POP/POM) are an advantage.
• Coal Competency Certification (if applicable under Indonesian regulations).

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in coal mining operations, with at least 5 years in a quality control or coal quality management role.
• Proven experience in managing teams and cross-functional coordination.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Proficient in coal quality software and data analysis tools.
• Fluent in English.

Knowledge

• Deep understanding of coal geology, coal types, and quality parameters (e.g., calorific value, ash, moisture, sulfur).

JOB OVERVIEW

Under direct supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all products, materials, and production processes meet established quality standards and brand specifications. Incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to detect, report, and correct defects or inconsistencies, helping to maintain and enhance the reputation of our brand. This position will assist in creating reports on all findings to the QA Head/Supervisor or Head Quarter members as requested. Additional activities include new assignments to support QA initiatives and assisting the QA Head and Supervisor in root cause analysis and corrective action for routine and non-routine problems.

Roles & Responsibilities

Product

• Permanent on-site control quality output throughout product review meeting, inline inspection and final inspection for sample and bulk orders based on given quality requirements.
• Identify quality issues and work with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and implement corrective actions with factories
• Identifying, organizing, and summarizing evidence to support conclusions about compliance with standards (such as PCPs) to QA Head and Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and complete quality records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.
• Be responsible for the data collection, reporting and analysis of defects.
• Participate in development stages (Proto, SMS,PPM.) to support in product risk mitigation.
• Manage the maintenance & updates of product quality standards, documentation, and physical samples.
• Be fully prepared and engaged in any quality inspections that may require a video conference due to a unique locations.

Process:

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with the brand standards.
• Participate or implement routine quality process audits to assess quality system risks of factories and follow-up with their CAP.
• Train and validate factory inspectors (CFA) & follow-up their performance.
• Liaise with his/her supervisor and Headquarter, monitor vendors/factories' performance through analysis of statistical data & work out corrective action plan for immediate improvement.

Problem-solving:

• Work closely with Sourcing/Development/Engineer teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
• Participate in process improvements, internal and external.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and provide feedback to relevant departments.

Team missions:

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures
• Assist in training/coaching other team members in process/product audit methods, skills, and knowledge.

*Duties And Responsibilities *

• Provide support and leadership to the site, proactive quality programs including DFMEA, PFMEA, COPQ reduction projects, incident investigation and waste reduction projects.
• Ensure requirements that are critical to quality (CTQ's) are defined, understood and aligned with current capabilities and are managed to ensure conformance.
• Develop processes that are based upon items deemed Critical to Quality (CTQ's), and Critical to Process (CTP's),
• Actively facilitate continuous improvement projects with a cross functional team. Support execution and activities close out with the team.
