Business Development Manager-Oil&Gas

Job Description

Sales Channel Development

Actively explore new oil and gas sales channels, develop strategies to attract potential customers and establish long-term partnerships with potential customer managers or CEOs. Establish partnerships with local distributors, agents, retailers, etc. in Indonesia to expand the coverage of the oil and gas market.

In-depth research on the Indonesian market, analyze market trends, competitor conditions and potential sales opportunities, and develop sales channel development strategies that meet the characteristics of the local market.

Market Information Collection and Feedback

Pay close attention to Indonesian market dynamics, changes in industry policies and regulations, and the latest trends of competitors, collect relevant information and promptly feedback to the company's management.

Based on market information analysis, provide valuable suggestions for the company's product development, marketing and strategic planning, and help the company's continued development in the Indonesian market.

Customer Relationship Management

Responsible for establishing long-term, stable and in-depth cooperative relationships with existing local customers in Indonesia, regularly visit customers, deeply understand their business needs and pain points, and ensure that customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level.

Responsible for the daily management and maintenance of sales channels, including the screening, evaluation, training and incentives of channel partners, to ensure that channel members can efficiently promote and sell company products or services.

Requirements

1. At least a degree from a Public University (UI, UGM, UNPAD, etc.). Any major is acceptable.
2. At least 5 years of business expansion and customer development experience, strong ability to identify and seize new business opportunities.
3. Proficient in English (spoken and written) and excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills in Indonesian.
4. Experience in Indonesian oil and gas related Industry, mechanical engineering and related fields is preferred, and relevant customer resources are preferred.
5. Good Exposures and having channels in Oil & Gas Industry.
6. Willing to travel domestically or internationally.
7. Proficient in Microsoft (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Job Description:

• Handle all customer inquiries for export, import and domestic shipping (regular and project cargo), prepare /send quotations
• Obtain competitive vendor rates with Procurement support, and coordinate shipment arrangements via SPK agreements, pre-alerts, notifications, and handovers.
• Follow up on POs and approvals, monitor shipments end-to-end, provide daily customer updates, and ensure Operations and Billing receive instructions for invoicing.
• Serve as backup for PIC Export and support related export tasks including billing instructions and SKK Migas admin work

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from recognized university or relevant qualification (preferable a background of logistics education.)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a multicultural multinational company (MNC) environment, with proven work experience in the oil and gas business.
• Knowledge of process/operational improvement tools (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) with strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, International Freight Forwarding, and Customs clearance processes, including remote project sites and private jetty operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with statistical and numeracy skills for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English (oral, written, presentation), with negotiation, diplomacy, and strong teamwork capabilities.

• Identify, evaluate, and mature oil and gas exploration prospects.
• Analyze and interpret seismic data, well logs, core data, and other geological datasets.
• Perform basin analysis, play fairway mapping, and volumetric estimations.
• Develop integrated geological models and subsurface interpretations.
• Collaborate with geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and drilling teams on exploration strategies.
• Prepare detailed geological reports, presentations, and prospect evaluations.
• Contribute to the company's exploration portfolio management and prioritization.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in geological exploration.
• Ensure geological data integrity and adherence to company standards.
• Participate in field geological work and data acquisition planning as needed.

• Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in exploration geology, specifically within the oil and gas industry.
• Proven experience in prospect generation and risking in various geological settings.
• Proficiency in geological interpretation software (e.g., Petrel, GeoGraphix, Kingdom Suite).
• Strong understanding of seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and core description.
• Knowledge of petroleum systems, structural geology, and sedimentology.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model.
• Experience with Indonesian geological settings is a significant plus.

• Monitor and analyze well and field production performance.
• Optimize production rates and recovery factors through effective strategies.
• Design, implement, and manage artificial lift systems (e.g., ESP, gas lift, rod pumps).
• Diagnose and resolve production-related issues, including wellbore problems and facility constraints.
• Conduct technical studies and economic evaluations for production enhancement opportunities.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to develop field development and production plans.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all operations.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and operational recommendations.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to improve production efficiency.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers and field personnel.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in oil and gas production engineering.
• Strong knowledge of reservoir characteristics, production systems, and artificial lift techniques.
• Proficiency in production simulation and data analysis software (e.g., PROSPER, GAP, Petrel, Eclipse).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Experience in field operations and a willingness to travel to operational sites.

• Interpret geological and geophysical data, including seismic, well logs, and core samples, to delineate potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
• Develop detailed geological models and maps of the subsurface.
• Assess exploration risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations for future drilling and development.
• Collaborate with geophysicists to integrate seismic and well data for comprehensive subsurface understanding.
• Work closely with reservoir engineers to characterize reservoirs and estimate reserves.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of exploration and appraisal programs.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and prospect evaluations for management.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in geoscience technology and methodologies.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and share expertise.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations related to geological operations.

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in exploration geoscience within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven expertise in seismic interpretation, well log analysis, and geological modeling.
• Proficiency with industry-standard geological software (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite, IHS Markit).
• Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex geological concepts.
• Experience working in regional geological settings relevant to Bandar Lampung, Lampung, ID is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
