Role Description

The Environmental Health Safety Specialist is responsible for ensuring workplace safety and compliance with health and safety regulations. This full-time, on-site role is located in Surabaya. Daily tasks include conducting safety training, assessing and addressing occupational health risks, implementing EHS programs, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.

• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian and international EHS regulations and standards.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations.

Job Descriptions:

• Ensure the safety management system runs in accordance with government regulations and corporate policies
• Ensure all safety legal and compliance aspects are properly monitored
• Ensure the proper implementation of PDCA for all leading indicators to achieve safety goals
• Conduct supervision of the workshop and warehouse areas
• Conduct supervision of the pit, stockpile, ISP & SBL port areas

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Public Health, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in the same position
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, especially those related to coal mining
• Ability to conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation
• Experience with safety audits, emergency response planning, and implementation of HSE programs
• Proficient in reporting and documentation, including use of safety management systems
• Certified POP & Auditor SMKP
• Familiarity with underground and/or open-pit mining safety procedures is a plus
