We're looking for a Data Engineer to be a key pillar in building our data foundation from the ground up.
This is a hands-on opportunity to build a scalable data infrastructure from the ground up, with a focus on data governance, quality assurance, and reproducibility. You'll work closely with the Data Manager and collaborate across teams such as finance, marketing, production, and warehouse.
What You'll Do
● Build, test, and maintain data pipelines to extract, clean, and load data from various tools (ERP, POS, campaign platforms, spreadsheets).
● Consolidate raw data into a centralized data warehouse on a cloud platform (Google Cloud or AWS).
● Design and maintain a data warehouse using Star Schema, Medallion Architecture, or similar concepts to support analytics across finance, marketing, supply chain, and sales.
● Support data transformation using tools like dbt and manage the data flow using tools like Apache Airflow.
● Control and manage cloud pricing to ensure cost-efficient use of resources.
● Provide and manage access to Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Metabase, Looker, or Tableau to enable self-service analytics.
● Document data models, workflows, and system designs to ensure reproducibility.
What We're Looking For
● Minimum 2 years of work experience as a Data Engineer.
● Strong proficiency in SQL (especially PostgreSQL) and Python.
● Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and experience with pipeline orchestration tools like Apache Airflow and data transformation tools like dbt.
● Familiar with designing and building data pipelines and managing data flow.
● Comfortable with working with APIs and various third-party data sources.
● Experience with Docker for application deployment.
● Experience in setting up and configuring BI tools.
● Strong understanding of data governance, reproducibility, and quality assurance.
● Passionate about the F&B business domain, including inventory movement, sales, and marketing.
