Role Overview

We're looking for a passionate
Sr. Software Engineer (SDE-3) - System Engineer
to optimize infrastructure, including Linux/Windows servers, physical networks, and virtualization. You'll address operational challenges, drive automation, and build secure, scalable systems. Expertise in infrastructure management, network design, firewalls, monitoring, security hygiene, and incident management is essential for system reliability and growth.

What You Will Do

• Manage and optimize Linux and Windows servers (CentOS, Ubuntu) for performance, security, and reliability, ensuring applications and services are fully operational and scalable.
• Design and implement network solutions, including physical network architecture for on-premises data centers and cloud integrations, ensuring seamless communication and secure connectivity.
• Administer Fortinet Firewalls for network security, implementing firewall policies, VPN configurations, configurating switching routing and intrusion prevention systems to protect infrastructure from threats.
• Oversee Windows Bare Metal servers, managing hardware configurations, OS updates, security patches, and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable performance across diverse setups.
• Automate infrastructure processes (server provisioning, configuration, and patch management) using tools such as Ansible and Shell scripting to reduce manual overhead and improve consistency.
• Implement security measures across Linux, Windows, and network environments to meet internal and external compliance standards, ensuring data integrity and protection.
• Lead network design and infrastructure planning, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure physical and virtual networks meet scalability, reliability, and security goals.
• Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in Linux, Windows, and firewall environments, enhancing system stability and reducing downtime.
• Develop and maintain incident response processes and contingency plans for both Linux and Windows environments to ensure high availability and rapid recovery in case of outages.

What We're Looking For

• Proven hands-on experience with
  Linux and windows systems
  (CentOS, Ubuntu), including server management, patching, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Strong expertise in
  Fortinet Firewall management
  , including network security configuration, policy enforcement, VPN setup, and threat prevention.
• Strong Understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs). Experience implementing and managing hybrid cloud system and network security measures
• Experience in managing
  Windows Bare Metal servers
  , including hardware management, OS updates, patching, and troubleshooting on physical servers.
• Familiarity with
  databases
  (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server) including query optimization, backup, and recovery.
