1. Supplier Performance & Relationship Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact and foster strategic relationships with assigned suppliers.
• Conduct regular supplier performance reviews (Quarterly Business Reviews) to discuss KPIs, improvements, and innovation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive supplier profiles and databases.

2. Supplier Performance & Compliance:

• Monitor, analyze, and report on supplier performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality Acceptance Rate (QAR), and service levels.
• Ensure supplier compliance with all contractual requirements, company policies, and quality, ethical, and environmental (ESG) standards.

3. Supplier Development & Strategy:

• Collaborate with the Strategic Sourcing team in the evaluation, selection, and qualification of new suppliers.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct risk assessments on suppliers and develop mitigation plans to ensure supply chain resilience.

4. Contract Management & Negotiation:

• Assist in the negotiation of favorable long-term agreements (LTAs) and contracts.
• Manage contract renewals and ensure all contractual documents are properly stored and documented.

5. Internal Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal departments such as Quality Assurance (QA), Engineering, Planning, and Manufacturing to resolve supplier-related issues (e.g., delivery delays, quality problems, technical specifications).
• Serve as a bridge for communication between suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a procurement, strategic sourcing, or supplier management role (Raw Material - Fabric) .
• Hands-on experience in handling and negotiating with suppliers.
• Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001) and lean manufacturing principles is a strong advantage.

Technical Knowledge & Hard Skills:

• Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data (cost, quality, performance) using tools like Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) or other analytics software.
• Procurement Knowledge: In-depth understanding of procurement and supply chain management principles.
• Contract Management: Experience in managing and understanding procurement contracts.
• Risk Management: Ability to identify and assess supply chain risks.
• IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (such as SAP, Oracle).

Soft Skills:

• Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English. Able to speak Chinese is a strong advantage.

Your Contribution

• To coordinate the implementation of supplier qualifications based on requests from purchasing which includes preparing supplier questionnaires, coordinating the implementation of audits, and ensuring people inspection, trial or validation is carried out according to the set time limit.
• To cooperate with responsible users from other departments in preparing material specifications which are included in category 1 (SCHOTT Igar Standard Inspection System).
• To prepare an annual supplier audit plan under the supervision of the supervisor and ensure that the audit is carried out in accordance with the applicable timeframe.
• To represent Quality of SCHOTT to perform supplier audit and follow up the supplier audit result.
• To coordinate evaluations of responses and corrective actions given by suppliers in relation to supplier complaint reports sent to suppliers.
• To perform onsite supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues on cause audit case.
• To review and evaluate supplier quality data to identify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain (on quarterly and yearly basis).
• To participate in annual supplier evaluations (Quality Section).
• To control and maintain document management system
• Become a deputy of Design and Specification (DNS) Asia and Schott Igar Glass when needed.
• When needed, provide advice related to specification and design activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for supplier qualification and monitoring program
• Coordinate and conduct supplier quality audits
• Evaluate supplier quality performance and metrics
• Maintain supplier quality database and records
• Coordinate with internal departments on supplier quality matters
• Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, such as company production data, quality data of other customers, and information related to company technology.

Functional description

To ensure continuous supply of good quality material / service from external supplier.

Tasks and responsibilities

1. Incoming Material Quality

2. Verify, analysis, and troubleshoot material quality problems at incoming and production.

3. Conduct regular material review meeting with related departments and suppliers.
4. Report incoming material status and quality conditions to superior.

5. Supplier Development

6. Track and monitor supplier performance

7. Establish audit plan and conduct periodic supplier audit
8. Conduct regular quality improvement meeting with supplier.

9. Develop ship to stock system with supplier

10. New supplier/material approval

11. Source and perform new supplier/material evaluation

12. Organize new supplier/material approval process.
13. Establish inspection plans and inspection criteria for new material.

Authorization

1. Issue of technical documents with approval from BT TPS QM SQM Manager
2. Freeze all incoming nonconforming material.
3. Liaise with supplier to resolve material quality problems
4. Establish supplier audit plan with approval form BT TPS QM SQM Manager
5. Provide recommendation for new supplier/material.

Conditions of employment and interaction

Cooperation / adjustment with project leaders of other internal departments within BT TPS

Working closely with TPS management and heads of departments of TPS

Requirements

Education:

Degree/Diploma in any engineering discipline

Experience:

• Experience in quality assurance/control for at least 3 years.
• Experience in IATF 16949/VDA 6.3 Quality System, ISO 9001QMS
• Experience in Performing Audits
• Preferably working in any manufacturing industry, certified with QM system

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS and POWER POINT)
• Knowledge on SAP is added advantage.

Personal attributes:

• Ability to communicate with clients, consultants, auditor, etc
• Able to travel Overseas

Physical condition:

In this role, you will be responsible for all material related quality topics, drive suppliers throught development program to achieve zero defect goals, supplier continues improvement/project/assessment and be eccountable for internal customer satisfaction indices related to material quality.

In your new role, you will:

• Drive supplier for 8D focussing on preventive actions for Technical, and Detection escape root cause. And ensure sufficient good quality material is available to avoid line down at company operations, and enabling company Zero Defect goals
• Co-ordinate with suppliers to ensure package family or products have standarized controls, and visual and dimensional criteria
• Co-ordinate with Cluster SQM colleagues to ensure standarized control, and support others site related to direct material quality topics, and ensure incoming quality checks
• Responsible for Batam and Singapore site when there are audits scheduled for Incoming
• Responsible related to quality topics on purchasing specification
• Support/involve with Development for new project with supplier at the early stage.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree holder in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Applied Science with a Physics/Chemistry/Material Science major
• Minimum of 5 years of quality or engineering working experience,
• Semiconductor backend or automotive industry experience is preferred.
• Good leadership and interpersonal skills, able to work in diverse, cross-country team
• Strong communication and driving skills with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• VDA 6.3 / IATF lead auditor certified is preferred.
