Job description :
Design engaging and easy-to-understand visual materials to support the dissemination of our research results. This includes developing info graphics, data visualizations, policy briefs, presentation materials, books, videos, and other ad-hoc materials for various audiences, including PT SMI internally, policymakers, and the wider public.
Ensure visual communication designs align with PT SMI's corporate identity standards and best practices in communication and publication.
Develop standardized guidelines or templates to facilitate the publication and visual communication of research results in the future.
Provide brief training or mentoring to the DRE team on effective visual communication design strategies and products.
Coordinate with the DRE team or other relevant parties to ensure research results are presented effectively in various communication media.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Head of the Economic Research Division
Expected Outputs :
- Engaging and easy-to-understand visual materials to support the dissemination of DRE research results, such as:
o Info graphics and data visualizations that illustrate key research findings.
o Policy briefs with professional and informative visuals.
o Presentation slides for various audiences, including PT SMI internals, policymakers, and the public.
o Other visual communication content as needed (e.g., short videos or illustrations).
Standardized visual communication design templates, such as research reports, and working paper or info graphic formats that can be used continuously by the DRE team.
Documentation of completed tasks, including soft and hard copy files, as well as periodic progress reports.
Recommendations or strategies for visual communication-based publications that can be implemented by the DRE.
Qualification :
Min. bachelor's degree in visual communication design, graphic design, multimedia, communication science, or other relevant field.
Min. 3 years of related experience in visual communication design and research report visualization. Experience working on public policy communication projects and research is an added advantage.
Proficiency in professional graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, CorelDRAW, and other basic video tools useful for visual design.
Interested in economic, social, and development issues.
Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with SMI's internal team and relevant stakeholders.
