Project Engineer ( 1 yr contract )

The Project Engineer will provide and develop system application as per project specifications and follow international industry codes & standards. He will assist the Project, Engineering & Proposal Team on all systems design and engineering work.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Preparing engineering documents revision to accommodate changes and enhancements.
• Support the Project, Engineering & Proposal Team on all systems design and engineering work.
• Project Engineer to be responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that projects involve.

• Prepare schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

• Work closely with Project Team to generate and perform technical evaluation for project items.

• Develop system application as per project specifications and follow international industry codes & standards.
• Perform internal testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Liaise, coordinate and monitor sub-contractors/vendors on assigned projects to ensure goods quality as per project specification and timely delivery.

EDUCATION

• Preferably Qualification in Engineering.
• 3- 5 years related Experience in Fire alarm systems, Suppression systems and Integration
• Strong knowledge in technical data and documentation, such as drawings, technical manuals / specification and industrial code and standard
• Ability to master new software systems, especially in the areas of Project Management
• Preferable experience with portfolio of projects.
• Must be able to work as a team.

EXPERIENCE

• 3 yrs experience in Design and estimate Fire Protection system, Fire Alarm System and Fire Suppression System.

• Experience in Fire alarm systems, Suppression systems and Integration

• Excellent verbal/written/presentation skills.

Job Description :

• Project Execution: Oversee and manage the implementation of AV projects according to design documents and project timelines.
• Site Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth field execution.
• Technical Oversight: Supervise on-site installation of AV systems to ensure compliance with design standards and quality requirements.
• Pre-Installation Review: Review drawings, device specifications, and material readiness before installation begins.
• Testing & Commissioning: Collaborate with system engineers to conduct testing and commissioning of installed systems.
• Documentation: Prepare technical documentation such as progress reports, as-built drawings, and handover documents (BAST).
• Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, report issues, and troubleshoot technical obstacles in the field.
• Client Interaction: Act as a technical point of contact with clients during project implementation.
• Project Coordination: Skilled at managing technical tasks and site coordination.
• Problem Solving: Quick to assess and resolve technical problems in the field.
• Communication: Able to clearly convey technical information to clients and team members.
• Time Management: Strong discipline in handling timelines and deadlines.

Job Requirements :

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience:

• 2–3 years of experience in AV or ICT projects, preferably in system installation or integration.
• Familiar with AV equipment such as displays, projectors, speakers, DSPs, switchers, AV-over-IP, and control systems.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, etc).

Technical Knowledge:

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of AV signal flow, structured cabling (HDMI, CAT6, audio), and basic power distribution.
• Experience in on-site work: installation, quality control, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with project implementation methods (BOQ, WBS, project scheduling) is a plus.

Qualifications

Job Responsibilities

• Having knowledge of electrical power system, cabling and electrical cable installation, lighting system, point cable termination, QC testing electrical system
• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining DCIM software
• Using AutoCAD (2D for drafting layouts and 3D for creating section drawings)
• Provide hands-on technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on data center operations
• Responsible for keeping up to date with the product roadmap as well as understanding the scenarios, features and functions within each product and how these are applied to address business and technical problems

Tasks & responsibilities

• Support the control, monitoring and evaluation of all project activities
• Ensure that actual work execution complies with technical standards and the provisions in the BoQ/Design.
• Control, coordinate and carry out oversight functions across all project phases—starting from preparation, physical execution, to completion—to ensure the process runs effectively.

Skilled in preparing and reviewing schedules, progress reports, and technical documents.

Able to coordinate across disciplines and manage engineering deliverables to meet project milestones and quality standards.

Experienced in communicating and coordinating with clients, vendors, and construction teams.

Knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).

Proficient in MS Project, Primavera, and spreadsheets.

Fluent in Mandarin & English, both written and verbal is a must

Qualifications:

1. Over 10 years Experience of Project management/Project engineer.
2. Prefer experience of Palm Refinery-Fractionation Plant, Biodiesel Plant, Oleochemical Plant (Edible Oil Projects), Oil and Gas Projects, Utility project.
3. Degree in a related field (e.g. Process/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil & Structure Engineering) or relevant work experience (Preferred).
4. Language Skills : Proficiency in English.
5. Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, PRIMAVERA, Microsoft Project, GANTT Chart
